David Demarest has learned a tremendous amount about Underhill's in-group and out-group style of governance since building his off-grid home around 22 years ago and he has the grit to stand up for your rights.

A vote for David Demarest is a vote to restore civil rights of Free Speech, Equal Treatment Under the Law, and basic property rights so residents do not fear retaliation or being unreasonably censored and misrepresented by their own town government. David Demarest is also dedicated to correcting the issues that caused our town to operate at a financial deficit in 2023 and will do his best to lower our taxes.

Mount Mansfield Community Television provides the opportunity for all Selectboard candidates in Underhill, Richmond, and Jericho to record a brief Candidate video and to attend a Question and Answer period. Please click on the preceding link to go directly to MMCTV's Town Meeting Day Coverage, or for your convenience watch below.

Note, as of the morning of March 1, 2024 Dan Steinbauer did not record a video and it is worth noting his clique did their best to focus questions primarily upon litigation (which began due to the October 8, 2009 letter which Dan Steinbauer played a central role in) and road issues (the Class 4 Roads Study Committee Recommendations, which the Selectboard is not in any way obligated to follow, are available in the January 11, 2024 Selectboard meeting packet) in many ways to distract from important issues David Demarest would like to address, such as Underhill should not operate at a financial deficit and one of the most important aspects of the affordable housing issue in Underhill is making our town be affordable for the residents that are already here (especially children that have to move when they grow up because they cannot afford a home of their own in Underhill and our town's seniors that are trying to make ends meet on a fixed income).

Feel free to also take a moment to talk about issues important to YOU while David Demarest is outside of the polls on Tuesday March 5, 2024 from 7 am to 7 pm (which is why he will not be inside at the Town Meeting Day meeting).
