About Current Selectboard Chair Dan Steinbauer's Part in Town of Underhill Finding "Any Way" to "Rescind" Prior Promises and Landowner Rights and Other Grievous Abuses of Unbridled Discretion.
In addition to Dan Steinbauer playing a central role as an Underhill Selectboard member in 2009 and 2010 seeking "any way" to "rescind" prior Town promises to a landowner, Dan Steinbauer refused to recuse himself from an indisputable structural due process violation when he was central to using executive sessions to strategize delaying and creating legal rationalizations for refusing to allow the duly submitted 2020 Petition on Public Accountability advisory articles to be placed before voters on the 2021 Town Meeting Day ballot (12:59 into the below video from January 12,2021). This is the same approach Dan Steinbauer took fully circumventing the Voter-Backed 2010 Petition on Fairness which could have prevented over 14 years of litigation at tremendous cost to taxpayers, the prior sense of a neighborly community, the high costs to our town's insurance provider, and individual residents which goes far beyond the purely financial costs of litigation.
It is implausible Dan Steinabuer did not fully know what the Duly Submitted Conflict of Interest allegations against Underhill Selectboard Chair Dan Steinbauer were despite how this correspondence was by and large successfully kept from the general public's view until the launch of UnderhillVT.com. In addition, the issue of Conflicts of Interest involving the 2020 petition was discussed with Dan Steinbauer leading the meeting 1:09:50 into the January 5, 2021 selectboard meeting.
